Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team, responsible for delivering high-quality painting services in both residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of color theory, construction techniques, and various painting methods. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team on diverse projects, including renovations, restorations, and new constructions.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements. Estimate materials needed for each job based on project specifications. Perform plastering and caulking to ensure smooth finishes. Execute trim carpentry tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal of painted areas. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; utilize hand tools and power tools effectively. Adhere to safety protocols while working on construction sites. Provide maintenance services as required, including touch-ups and repairs.

Experience

Candidates should have experience in the following areas:

Residential painting techniques and practices. Commercial painting projects with a focus on quality finishes. Construction site experience with an understanding of safety regulations. Proficiency in basic math for estimating materials and measuring spaces accurately. Familiarity with industrial painting methods and materials. Knowledge of masonry, concrete finishing, and renovation processes is preferred. Maintenance Person experience is a plus, particularly in fixture installation and general maintenance tasks. Ability to perform welding tasks may be beneficial for specific projects.
