Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects, with a strong understanding of construction and restoration processes. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications. The Painter will work closely with project managers, carpenters, and other trades to deliver exceptional results on time and within scope.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and masking areas as needed Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project requirements Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and power tools Perform restoration work on damaged or aged surfaces to restore them to their original condition Use rigging techniques to access high or hard-to-reach areas safely Operate hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete painting tasks accurately Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment throughout each project Collaborate with carpenters and other trades to ensure proper surface preparation and finishing details Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met

Experience

Proven experience in construction painting, including residential, commercial, and industrial projects Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for accurate project execution Familiarity with restoration techniques and the use of various hand tools and power tools Ability to perform rigging tasks safely at elevated heights or difficult access points Strong time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members Prior experience in caulking and surface preparation is preferred but not mandatory Background in carpentry or construction is a plus for understanding structural elements involved in painting projects

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.53-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
