Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled, reliable , and detail-oriented Painter/Drywall/Renovation professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in drywall installation and repair, interior painting, and other related finishing tasks. Efficiency is key--our team values professionals who complete jobs to high standards without stretching out the work. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on a variety of projects within the residential and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, and patching.
• Apply paint on interior surfaces using techniques such as spraying, rolling, and brushing.
• Remove old paint and finishes as necessary.
• Fill holes, seal corners, and ensure surfaces are smooth and ready for finishing.
• Install and repair drywall, including taping, mudding, and sanding to a smooth finish.
• Perform demolition, framing, insulation, and installation of baseboards and trims as needed.
• Protect surfaces from damage through the use of primers and other coatings.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project specifications are met.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company guidelines at all times.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in interior painting and drywall installation/repair.
• Reliable, with strong attention to detail and efficiency.
• Comfortable working from heights when necessary.
• Knowledge of various painting techniques and finishes.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to problem-solve, multitask, and remain detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, bending, or kneeling.
• Possess and maintain a valid Ontario G Driver's license in good standing.
• Eligible to work in Canada (will be subject to a criminal background check).
• High School Diploma and 5+ years of work-related experience.
• WHMIS training and knowledge of applicable legislation respecting residential tenancies in Ontario are assets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week

Additional pay:

• Bonus pay
• Overtime pay

• Weekends as needed
