About Ocean Steel
Incorporated in 1955, Ocean Steel services several markets, including Atlantic Canada, the Eastern United States, Bermuda and the Caribbean. Although they specialize in fabricating and erecting structural steel for buildings and bridges, they also manufacture and install platework, such as breechings, stacks, ducts, penstocks, process & storage tanks and custom process-equipment. Ocean Steel\'s two New Brunswick plants include the original location in Saint John, as well as the York Steel Plant in Fredericton, which was acquired by Ocean Steel in 1995.
Responsibilities:
- Prep metal surfaces for paint
- Ensure work area is kept clean
- Use various paints on metal including aerosols
- Lift or move steel materials into position using overhead cranes
- Proven experience in a painting position
- Experience using aerosol paints is an asset
- 1 to 3 years\' experience in structural steel fabricating
