Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting disciplines, including residential, commercial, restoration, and industrial painting. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of projects. The Painter will work closely with project managers and clients to deliver exceptional results while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools and power tools with precision. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project specifications. Perform restoration work on damaged or aged surfaces to restore them to their original condition. Use rigging techniques to access hard-to-reach areas safely. Operate hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, and spray equipment effectively. Execute carpentry tasks related to framing or minor repairs as needed for preparation. Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards. Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are understood and met. Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times.

Skills

Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, restoration, or industrial painting. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in painting and carpentry. Knowledge of caulking techniques for surface sealing. Strong understanding of rigging procedures for safe access during high or difficult areas. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service interactions. Good time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple projects. Familiarity with schematics related to industrial or commercial projects is a plus. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments requiring physical stamina and attention to detail.
