Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting disciplines, including residential, commercial, restoration, and industrial painting. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, blueprint reading, and the use of hand tools and power tools. The Painter will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes while maintaining safety standards and excellent customer service. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that enhance both interior and exterior surfaces.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other tools Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to accurately execute projects Perform restoration work on damaged surfaces, including drywall repairs and surface preparation Utilize rigging techniques for elevated or hard-to-reach areas safely Operate hand tools and power tools efficiently for surface preparation and finishing tasks Collaborate with carpentry teams when necessary for structural or framing adjustments before painting Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations Communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements and provide excellent customer service

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, restoration, or industrial painting Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and scaffolding or rigging equipment Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques including sanding and caulking Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines efficiently Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients Experience in carpentry or related construction trades is a plus Ability to work safely at heights using rigging equipment when necessary A professional attitude with a focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.39-$42.67 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 60 per week
