We are a 60+ year old company that builds reception desks, ticket counters, and Architectural Millwork! We are looking for a full time

PAINTSHOP HELPER / LABOURER

to join our team for 2 Years to cover a Maternity Leave with the potential of a permanent position!

We offer some incentives for apprenticeship, where you can start at our shop first, then apply for schooling later if this is of interest!

Experience/Assets:

- Auto Paint Shop Experience
- Some Wood Working Experience is an asset
- Apprentice Cabinet Makers is an asset

Language(s):

Fluently speak, read and write English. Imperial and Metric measures.

Type of Work:

- Paint shop / booth
- Enclosed shop environment

Specific Tasks:

- Finishing of wood and wood products
- Use of spray guns and assorted painting tools
- Use of Sanders and adhesives
- Lacquer finishing of products.

Additional Skills:

- Interaction with cabinetmakers and management to solve problems
- Train and work with other personnel in a team environment
- Use of Hardware, some experience with solid surface, laminates, and stone
- Co-ordination of shipping of products with shipping department.

Work conditions:

- Fast paced environment, deadlines, office, and some minor shop
- Steel toes footwear, Tools, Safety goggles and hearing protection.

Transportation:

Provide own means to our shop to work on time.

This position is looking for someone who has a willingness to assist fellow cabinetmakers in shop with labour tasks and has a valid Alberta Drivers License to assist with the occasional delivery/pick up.

Wage range is $19 - $21 / hour; based on experience. Benefits provided after 3 months.
