Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate must be IUPAT affiliated will have experience in various painting disciplines, including residential, commercial, restoration, and industrial painting. This role requires a strong understanding of construction and carpentry principles, as well as excellent communication and time management skills. The Painter will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes while adhering to safety standards and project specifications. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that enhance both interior and exterior spaces.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or power tools with precision and attention to detail Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project requirements Use hand tools, power tools, and rigging equipment safely and effectively during the painting process Perform restoration work on existing surfaces to improve appearance and durability Manage multiple projects efficiently through effective time management and prioritization Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met Maintain a clean work environment and properly handle disposal of materials in accordance with safety regulations Assist with carpentry tasks or minor repairs as needed to support overall project completion

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, restoration, or industrial painting Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and rigging equipment Strong knowledge of construction principles and carpentry basics Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members Good time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently Ability to work safely at heights or on scaffolding when required Knowledge of schematics and technical instructions related to painting projects is preferred Experience in customer service is a plus for client-facing roles
