Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion Apply paint, stain, or coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment in accordance with project specifications Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and schematics to accurately execute painting projects Perform restoration work on damaged surfaces and structures as needed Utilize rigging and scaffolding to access high or difficult-to-reach areas safely Operate hand tools and power tools efficiently for surface preparation and finishing tasks Execute carpentry tasks related to framing or minor repairs as part of the painting process Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations Communicate effectively with clients and team members to meet project deadlines and specifications

Skills

Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, restoration, or industrial painting Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Proficiency with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, and caulking guns; familiarity with power tools is a plus Strong knowledge of construction processes including carpentry and rigging techniques Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members Good time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple projects Ability to work at heights using scaffolding or rigging equipment safely Knowledge of safety standards related to construction painting environments
