We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality finishes. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all work meets our high standards of quality and safety. This role requires both technical skills and creativity to achieve the desired aesthetic results.
Duties
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, or priming as necessary.
Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Mix paints and other materials according to specifications for optimal color and consistency.
Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make necessary touch-ups or corrections.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any issues promptly.
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Skills
Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools related to painting tasks.
Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating quantities of materials needed.
Familiarity with crane operation may be beneficial for specific projects.
Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
Ability to assemble components as needed during the painting process.
Experience in machining or fabrication is a plus for understanding material properties.
Forklift certification is advantageous for moving materials around the worksite.
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
