Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our construction and renovation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects, with a strong understanding of various painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing. This role involves working on diverse projects that require precision, craftsmanship, and adherence to safety standards. The Painter will collaborate with project managers, carpenters, and other trades to deliver high-quality results on time and within scope.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray equipment (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints, schematics, and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements. Perform specialty finishes including stucco, restoration work, masonry finishes, and industrial painting techniques. Install fixtures, trim carpentry, and perform renovation tasks related to painting projects. Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed. Work on construction sites with experience in framing, drywall installation, concrete finishing, welding, masonry, and remodeling as needed. Maintain a clean work environment by properly disposing of waste materials and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Collaborate with team members on scaffolding setup and working at heights safely. Assist in the installation of fixtures or other related maintenance tasks as required.

Qualifications

Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting, or industrial painting projects. Knowledge of color theory and surface preparation techniques. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, and power tools including airless sprayers. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Experience with plastering, stucco application, restoration work, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, fixture installation, masonry finishing, welding basics, concrete finishing, remodeling projects--and maintenance person experience is a plus. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating materials. Construction site experience with an understanding of safety protocols is essential. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: $17.20-$28.35 per hour
