Job Opportunity: Paint Prepper

JOB SUMMARY

Preppers are responsible for the first stage in the painting process. The bodies of ITB units must be cleaned, sanded, masked, and occasionally repaired from dents and scratches. Good work habits, keen eye for detail and process-oriented skills are required for this position.

LOCATION

Our Coaldale, AB plant is located just off highway 3 and is an easy commute from Lethbridge or Taber. We roughly have 140 employees and are continuing to expand.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

Strong knowledge of ITB's products is an asset

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sanding units as per procedure to prepare unit for painting

Repair body as required, bondo work as required

Wash unit down multiple times with degreaser chemicals

Apply caulking around locks, hinges, locks etc. as required

Mask unit with masking tape and masking paper

Final wipe down and tack in paint booth

Checking workmanship throughout prepping procedure

Keep shop clean and organized

GENERAL

Know and apply company safety rules, policies, and relevant occupational health and safety legislation

Work in a professional and ethical manner

Use of hand, power and air tools safely and as required

Provide support for other departments as necessary

Develop effective working relationships with co-workers and supervisors, always treating others with respect

Be receptive to a changing environment and circumstances

Other duties as required

WORKING HOURS

Permanent Full-Time

Core hours are from 7:00am - 3:30pm

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
