Paint Inventory Analyst

Role Summary


A Division of Magna, Polycon Industries is a World Class supplier of automotive parts. Polycon moulds, paints, assembles and sequences automotive products to OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers).
The Paint Inventory Analyst will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory of all raw materials, work in process, and finished components. Investigates variances between physical inventory count and data. Addresses all inventory issues that arise. Pay Rate: $27.93/ hour + .75 Shift Premium SHIFT: Nights - 9:30 pm – 5:30 am

Key Responsibilities


  • Complete daily cycle counts of raw materials, work in process, and/or purchased components
  • Investigates variances between inventory count and data, adjusts inventory data when required
  • Address any inventory, system or procedural issues that arise
  • Monitor inventory transactions for accuracy
  • Communicate any issues that arise to production, customer service, shipping and IT personnel
  • Complete accurate data entry and generate inventory reports. Create charts and graphs
  • Alert appropriate department personnel when product engineering changes occur
  • Assist IT with any transactional or bar code issues that occur
  • Inform Team Leaders and Department Managers of inventory shortages
  • Run and maintain Production Monitoring & Control (PMC) error log


Key Qualifications/Requirements


  • Completion of grade 12 or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year of previous inventory experience required
  • Proficient with MS Office, MAPICS, R9, MRP, AS400 or similar software required
  • Previous experience manipulating data and creating charts/graphs in Excel required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (spoken and written)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Must be organized, maintain 5S in work area at all times
  • Must be quality minded, safety conscious and reliable
