In this role, you will be responsible for visually inspecting, selecting, and packing quality products, ensuring proper traceability and packaging accuracy. You will play a key role in maintaining safety, efficiency, and high-quality standards throughout the production process. This position operates on an 8-hour rotating shift and you will be required to work full-time hours (40 hours per week) for the first three months, after which, you will be subject to temporary layoff's as shift assignments will be determined by business demand and seniority.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, select, and pack quality products according to company and customer specifications.
Verify product markings and quantities, ensuring proper labeling, coding, and traceability.
Assemble, seal, and prepare boxes and skids for shipment, loading and unloading as required.
Remove defective or non-conforming products and perform reselect or repack duties when needed.
Maintain accurate identification on all packed boxes.
Refill packing supplies and ensure efficient use of materials.
Keep the packing area clean, organized, and free from obstructions.
Follow all Health, Safety, and Product Safety regulations and company policies.
Report equipment issues, unsafe conditions, or quality concerns to the Supervisor promptly.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to work 8- or 12-hour rotating shifts which may include days, nights, evenings
Basic math and measurement skills.
Ability to lift or carry up to 35 pounds (equivalent to 15.8 kilograms).
Visual acuity of 20/20 (corrected or uncorrected).
Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in the manufacturing and/or production industry is an asset
