We are looking for a team oriented, safety minded, Packaging Team Member to join our Global Vintners Inc. Production team at our newly renovated and expanded production facility! The Packaging Team Member will be responsible for working with other packaging team members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the packaging line. We are looking for a teammate with:

• 2 to 5 years progressive experience in a food &/or beverage manufacturing environment
• High School Diploma
• GMP/SOP Knowledge/exposure
• Lean Manufacturing experience

This teammate will be accountable for:

• Responsible to ensure all the correct packaging additives are staged and ready for production. ( Use the Production work orders for verification)
• Responsible for the clean up of immediate work station. Sweeping of floor daily and washed daily as required. From shrink wrap to filler.
• When repacking product ensure that all materials used in the production packaging process are accounted for on the repack log form with and submit copies to Inventory Control designate daily.
• Responsible to ensure all repacks are completed after regular production and before the end of your regular shift, clean all safety glass on packaging equipment daily; time permitting.
• Clean style sticker equipment of dust, debris and ill placed stickers daily as regular time permits.
• Maintain smooth running transfer rollers by cleaning off hardened glue.
• Clean off fluorescent emergency fire hose coverers weekly.
• Ensure small garbage containers in packaging area are emptied and washed by end of each shift.
• Responsible to assist with cleaning up leakers on the production line.
• Responsible for the timely change out of style stickers at end of each production run. Also the staging of stickers for each proceeding run and the return to storage of stickers just finished.
• During down time periods, assist with malt labeling as time permits.
• Responsible for the timely change out of shrink wrap as required.
• When palletizing, ensure that each package is properly sealed, shrunk wrapped, labeled and properly positioned according to specifications. (Advise Senior Production Coordinator and QA team immediately of any packaging discrepancies.)
• When stationed at the box erector, ensure that a steady and uninterrupted flow is being made and delivered to the filler. (Advise Senior Production Coordinator of any mechanical issues.)
• Maintain flexible attitude for any other duties you may be assigned by your Production Supervisor/Continuous Improvement Coordinator or Production Coordinator.
• Follows safe work procedures and practices and reports all unsafe working conditions / hazards to their reporting Manager.
