Job Description

To ensure product is packed according to customer specification. Responsible for proper use of -bagger, scales, blueprint, metal detectors, coding, shaker, and taper.

Annual Salary:

$20.55/hr - $26.74/hr



Daily cleaning tasks: Cleaning air hose equipment, opening bags of rejected product, placing in appropriate bin, and disposing of bags. Sweeping and cleaning floor of surrounding area. Paperwork and documentation: Complete regular bag checks and document findings. Complete metal detector verification every 2 hours or at change over. Complete hourly coding checks Re-stock: Change or add roles of paper or plastic using poly lift. Replenish tape in case sealer Change over: Use the specific change over equipment based on product weight and size. Depending on predetermined pack plan, employee could be required to complete multiple change-overs per day Assist during Operational Clean Ups (OCUs), following all procedures and checklists Assist with startup procedure, shut down procedure, and refresh procedure, following all established steps Must be willing and able to train other operators or trainees in this area when required

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; Must have 2 years of previous operator experience working for a manufacturing and/or food production sector. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices in food production is preferred; Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and consistently changing environment; Ability to learn multiple positions and be able to work these positions on varying schedules; Ability to effectively understand and follow a variety of guidelines and work procedures (including health, safety, hygiene and sanitation); Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and effective communication with peers, supervisors; Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting through root cause problem solving; Basic math and computer skills; Excellent manual dexterity; Strong physical endurance; Ability to stand; walk; for long periods of time; Strong Communication skills
