Reporting to the Packaging Manager, the Packaging Operator is a key member of our brewery team! Working in a fast paced, high energy environment, our packaging operators are responsible for ensuring our products are packaged according to company quality standards in a safe and efficient manner prior to shipping.

Duties & Responsibilities



Operate various packaging equipment including bottling, kegging and canning lines while working closely with QC department to meet high quality and production standards. Troubleshoot equipment during breakdowns and record work performed to get machines back to operation. Performing product and packaging change overs Completion of off-line tasks such as production of hand packed seasonal mix packs. Packaging quality control along critical control points. Tracking packaging materials. Maintaining production logs. Able to work shift work. Follow all health & safety requirements Other duties as required

Internal and External Relationships:



In this role, the you will work with all operations departments in the Brewery. They will interact closely with Quality, Brewing and Distribution to provide the end product to the customer.

Decision Making:



You will be responsible for packaging a product that meets high quality standards. They will identify issues with the packaged good and escalate accordingly. In addition, they will be responsible for troubleshooting equipment and making solid technical decisions prior to notifying the Maintenance Department.

Knowledge & Experience



1-2 years previous manufacturing or warehousing experience. Previous brewery experience is considered an asset. College technical degree strongly desired but not necessary. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, able to stand for extended periods of time (8 hours). Lift truck certification is an asset Sanitation experience is an asset Positive attitude and ability to work in a team setting. Ability to work shift work

Other Technical Skills:



You should have good mechanical aptitude. Ability to work with hand tools, in a fast-paced environment is required.

WORKING CONDITIONS and ENVIRONMENT



Physical and Sensory demands are representative of an employee working in a fast-paced production plant. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for long periods of time. Some lifting may be required on an infrequent basis.

You will work in the production plant where regular hazards exist and must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on a daily basis.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
