Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of Aecon (Construction industry specific) business processes and strategy through collaboration and regular engagement with key stakeholders and business process owners.
  • Managing P6 databases, definition and ownership of the business roles and required access for the user base, direct the assignment of security roles and identify the requirements for licensing for all Company Divisions and Joint Ventures under Aecon\'s P6 EPPM environment.
  • In collaboration with the divisional P6 leads, develop, manage and maintain coding structures, resource/role pools, global calendars, Enterprise Project Structure (EPS), Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS), security profiles, and settings that are standards and global in nature.
  • Gather, analyze and prioritize business requirements by conducting workshops in co-ordination with cross-function organizations.
  • Act as liaison with clients for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and solve software problems for application incidents.
  • Document and communicate knowledge with the rest of the team to improve service levels, by developing and maintaining \xe2\x80\x9chow to\xe2\x80\x9d procedures and knowledgebase articles.
  • Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate and document business requirements.
  • Configuration of applications functionality for any requirement/enhancement.
  • Develop and maintain documentation.
  • Document and execute UAT testing.
  • Coordinate with the QA Lead and QA Team to ensure appropriate QA testing.
  • Collaborate with other internal IT organizations to ensure optimal work processes are followed and organization\'s IT Strategy is delivered.
  • Be hands-on application support during integration and user acceptance testing.
  • Provide or lead the end user training with applications.
  • Provide support and expertise after go-live of the initial rollout of projects.
  • Follow all practices of Aecon remedy tool and contribute for enhancement. Manage changes and/or expediated transports as needed for high priority issues.
  • Work closely and productively with application functional leads to support/implementation vendor for day-to-day work or any other work.
  • Work self-directed and independently
  • Participate in internal, customer and regulatory audits if required.
  • Support the information systems and operate according to internal standards, external accrediting agency standards and legal requirements.
  • Ensure the integrity of IT assets.
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • University Degree in Computer Science or related area from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ years\' experience working with P6
  • Must have strong understanding of CPM (Critical Path Method), earned value concepts and calculations as well rules of credit.
  • Oracle Certified Specialist highly desirable.
  • Primavera P6 Certification is considered a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with ITIL Foundations is an asset.
  • Experience with Incident Management, Problem Management, Knowledge Management, Change Management, or Service Level Management is an asset
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skill
  • Proficient in the French language is an asset
  • Technical knowledge in computer hardware and software configuration
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to act individually and work together with others as part of a team
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and effectively solve problems in a timely and organized manner using industry best practices and procedures
  • Must have working knowledge of Windows 10, MS Office 365 products, Microsoft Exchange, and Active Directory
  • Understanding of BMC Remedy, Citrix XenApp, SAP, and Microsoft Teams is also an asset
  • Able to troubleshoot network connectivity, router, access point, and switch issues
