STRABAG is actively seeking a Recruiter for our Canadian Business Unit, where he/she can utilize their extensive knowledge to contribute to the continued success and growth of the organization. The Recruiter will be also responsible for concentrate their efforts directed at the administration and coordination of immigration documents for Canada wide projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment
Initiate and prepare job descriptions as directed by management
Create job postings and use creative methods of advertising locally and internationally
Review open positions and determine method for recruitment
Access candidates and review qualifications, technical skills and experience
Access international recruitment options in regard to Intra-Company Transferees or Labour Market Opinions.
Acts as key user of the Talent Acquisition Suite and is in regular dialogue with People & Culture of the Division
Reporting of recruiting KPIs
Assess international candidates for immigration requirements and eligibility
Coordinate and schedule interviews with project management
Perform reference and background checks
Meet with new hires and process all hire documents
Immigration
Assist and gather all documentation required for the preparation of immigration applications
File applications as required and based on eligibility
Prepare work permit documents for new hires entering Canada
Prepare Intra-Company Transferee POE packages
Monitor immigration files for upcoming expiry dates and employment requirements
Process work permit and visitor permit extension applications
Process work permit change of condition applications
Assist employees with the preparation of Permanent Residence application packages
Coordinate translation requests when necessary
Maintenance of Employee Files an HR Database
Communicate new hire information
Assist with the maintenance of employee records for Canadian and Expatriate staff
Add new hires and process terminations
Update employee job status, placement and pay records
Development, Implementation and Communication of People & Culture Human Resources Policies and Procedures
In conjunction with People & Culture colleagues review and revise current policies
Ensure policies and procedures are in compliance with government regulations and statutory legislation.
Maintain positive relationships with third parties including government agencies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
International recruitment methods and Canadian immigration legislation
Knowledge of local and country wide recruitment legislation and regulations
Demonstrated interpersonal, organization and communication skills.
Results focused with a strong attention to detail
Self-motivated, persistent and flexible
Adaptability to rapidly changing demands
Qualifications:
2
+ years' experience as a Recruitment Specialist
College or University Diploma in Human Resources
Immigration Consultant Certificate is an asset
Construction Industry experience is preferred
Ability to maintain confidentiality and a high level of professionalism are required
Must have valid driver's license
Travel within the GTA may be required
