Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced AZ O/O Truck Driver with experience using a Flatbed trailer to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods on a flatbed trailer safely and efficiently through Canada and the USA while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage various types of freight.

Responsibilities

Operate AZ Commercial trucks to transport freight between locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, securing it properly to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding routes, delays, or issues encountered on the road. Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Assist with minor automotive repairs as needed to keep the vehicle in optimal condition.

Skills

Proficient in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Experience in automotive repair is a plus for maintaining vehicle functionality. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation is beneficial for loading and unloading freight. Knowledge with Hours of service as well as the Ministry of transportation, National Safety Code, highway traffic act and Department of transportation regulations. Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols. Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently. Good communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
