Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while managing your own vehicle. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial driving skills, experience with heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.

Duties

Operate and maintain your own truck or vehicle for the transportation of freight. Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on your vehicle to ensure optimal performance. Utilize forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary for loading and unloading freight. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Assist in automotive repair tasks as needed to keep the vehicle in good working condition.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Familiarity with freight handling procedures and heavy equipment operation is essential. Experience operating forklifts is preferred. Background in automotive repair is a plus, enabling you to address minor mechanical issues on the road. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulations.
