Role Description :

We are looking for a professional and safety-oriented Class 1 Owner Operator, you will have the ability to work well with minimal supervision and have a strong sense of urgency to complete tasks promptly and safely. You must have a passion for driving safely and defensively on the roads, for yourself and for others. You are not afraid of hard work and you are able to perform well in a fast paced and physically demanding environment.

Location: Calgary, BC Start Time : Varies Must be comfortable driving to Various regions in BC, Oregon, California 3-4 nights' out

Duties to be performed :

Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations. Conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition. Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods. Coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured. Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport.

Requirements :

Valid Class 1 License is required Clean 5 years Commercial driving abstract Fast Card will be an asset Must have Highway and Mountain driving Experience Truck should not be older than 10 years Open to driver at night Open to use Manual/ Electric pallet jack, Loading/ Unloading and hand bombing Must have excellent communication and customer service skills Comfortable with smartphone technology Reliable, flexible, punctual and safe driving behaviors Comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations Must be bondable and legally able to work in Canada

Pay: $183,579.00-$205,800.00 per year
