Owner Operator
Job Description
Aquatrans Distributors requires experienced Owner Operators for work based out of Port Hardy, BC. This project involves short-haul work between Port Hardy and Coal Harbour (approx. 30 minutes one way). Each day will typically begin in Port Hardy, transporting an empty tanker to Coal Harbour, loading with product, and returning to Port Hardy for offload. This process is repeated until the vessel is fully offloaded.
Driving time is limited, with a significant portion of each day spent loading and unloading, during which fuel consumption is minimal.
Off days for the tanker project can be supplemented with other highway work if preferred, primarily 53ft reefer van hauling. Not guaranteed
Compensation
: $70.00 per hourContract Completion Bonus:

Minimum 8 hours paid per project day (expect 10+ hours regularly). Morning start times. Additional days may vary based on vessel schedule and production demandsDuties Include:
Pre-trip and post trip inspection Maintain accurate driver logs Operate truck and trailer in safety minded way Report vehicle deficiencies Highway work required Transport various goods across Vancouver Island
Requirement:
Class 1 drivers' license 2 years of tractor-trailer experience Verbal and written communication in English Must have a reliable cellphone to operate Samsara Safety conscious and safe operator Equipment must be 2012 or newer
