Owner Operator Class 1 Single Axle
Job Description
Aquatrans Distributors requires experienced Owner Operators for work based out of either Victoria, Nanaimo or Campbell River BC. We are seeking a safety-focused Class 1 Single Axle Owner Operator to join our team. This role requires the Owner Operator to transport, load, and unload freight, while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. The Owner Operator will also support warehouse operations by assisting with freight handling, following load plans, and returning dunnage as required. Exceptional customer service and adherence to safety and compliance standards are essential in this role.
Compensation
: $50.00 per hour for all work.Shift schedule
: 5-6 days per week, or as needed. Shift times are variable. Weekend work may be required based on business needs.Benefits

Pre-trip and post trip inspection Maintain accurate driver logs Operate truck and other equipment in safety minded way Receive and unload inbound freight at the warehouse in an organized and safe manner. Verify shipments against documentation to ensure accuracy and report discrepancies. Review load plans and load freight onto outbound trucks according to schedules and delivery requirements. Deliver freight to customer locations with professionalism and excellent customer service. Collect and return dunnage or empty equipment to the warehouse as required. Report vehicle deficiencies Transport various goods across Vancouver Island Provide courteous and professional service during deliveries and pickups.
Requirement:
Class 1 drivers' license 2 years of commercial driving experience Safety conscious and safe operator Ability to safely load/unload freight and operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift - certification an asset).

5 - 6 days per week. Weekend availability required based on business needs.
