About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused
Groundside Oversized Baggage Handler
to join our airport operations team in Kelowna. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting passengers with oversized items, coordinating with various airport departments, and ensuring the safe and efficient handling of special baggage. This is a physically active position that requires excellent attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Hourly Pay Rate:
$19.69
Key Responsibilities
Safely handle and transport oversized, fragile, and non-standard baggage Maintain cleanliness and organization of the oversized baggage area. Provide courteous and professional customer assistance. Follow all airport security protocols and workplace safety procedures.
Qualifications
Previous experience in airport operations, baggage handling, or a physically demanding role is an asset but not required--training provided. Ability to lift, push, and pull items up to 70 lbs repeatedly. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and environments. Must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Part-time and Full-time positions are available.
Please note this is a temporary position with the potential to move into a permanent position.
