Our success is your success. Want to join our team? We are currently hiring motivated Full Time Security Guards (Mobile, Foot Patrol, CCTV) for Overnight shifts. The successful applicant will be trained in Mobile Patrol, Static Foot Patrol, and CCTV Security Monitoring. A valid Driver\'s License, Driver\'s Abstract, and Valid Security License are required for this role. This is an hourly, flexible position and must use company vehicle for travel between properties as required. Currently, we are looking to fill the following shifts for our expanding security division:
- 12-hour overnight shifts, weekly shift rotations, full time hours.
- Shift Rotation: Week 1 is 4 Days on, 3 Days off, Week 2 is 3 Days On and 4 Days Off.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide responsive, professional customer service to all tenants of the property in a timely fashion
- Ensuring security duties are carried out in compliance with all federal, provincial, and municipal laws including; The Criminal Code of Canada; Trespass to Property legislation
- Responding to all dispatch calls for Alarms, Building Checks and Guard Service needs
- Attending all designated patrols and doing full site patrols
- Driving company vehicles safely and obeying all traffic laws
- Acting in a guard capacity as requested
- Completing detailed and accurate shift reports
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- A valid Alberta Security License required prior to employment
- A valid and updated Driver Abstract
- Recognized and valid First Aid and CPR certificates prior to employment
- Minimum of 2 years in a Security industry
- A current (within 6 months) Police Clearance Screening is required upon hire.
- Past experience in managing challenging security situations
- Previous experience monitoring security camera operations is an asset
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing and observation skills
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional judgement, common sense and decision-making ability
- Be able to work independently and reacting appropriately in any situation by remaining calm and professional
- Ability to operate security equipment/systems, camera recording systems, computers and radios
- Knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
