About Me

I am a 28-year-old woman with a physical disability, and I use a motorized wheelchair full-time. I live at home with my boyfriend, best friend, our three cats, rabbit, and my service dog.

Position Details

I am looking for a reliable and flexible Personal Support Worker to assist me with overnight shifts every other Sunday and Monday, beginning the first weekend of November.

Shift Hours: Approximately 10:00 PM - 9:00 AM (hours may vary slightly by week) Schedule: Biweekly (every other Sunday and Monday) Potential for Additional Shifts: There may be opportunities for more overnight shifts in the future.
Responsibilities

Your role will involve assisting me with tasks I cannot complete independently, including:

Supporting my nighttime routine (shower, washroom, transferring/lifting - I weigh about 70 lbs) Turning/positioning me throughout the night Assisting with household chores such as laundry, mopping, kitchen cleaning, and taking out the garbage Caring for my pets (feeding, cleaning, and taking my service dog outside for 1-2 bathroom breaks per shift) Being available to support with any other tasks that arise overnight
What I'm Looking For

Dependable, responsible, and comfortable taking initiative Flexible with hours if needed Able to lift/transfer me safely Someone who can stay awake and attentive during overnight shifts No prior PSW experience required -- training will be provided This role is especially suited for students, as there is downtime overnight to work on homework, studying, or personal projects
