Summary
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A Overnight Manager-Front Office Join our Front Office Team as an Overnight Manager-Front Office. This position will be reporting to Front Office Manager, the Hyatt Regency Calgary Overnight Manager will oversee the hotel operation between the hours of 11pm and 7am, partnering with multiple hotel teams such as Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, Banquets, Security, PBX, and Engineering. What is expected of me in this role?
  • Leads Front Desk operation overnight while collaborating with all the departments and representing management.
  • Foster and promote a cooperative working environment, maximizing productivity and employee morale.
  • Provides regular feedback to Department Heads concerning service issues, guest requests, complaints and comments.
  • Provide exemplary leadership in the area of customer service and customer interaction.
  • Conduct timely execution of the night audit process, and preparation of reports and information for the next day of operation. (Can include World of Hyatt and Payroll).
  • Assists guests with arrival and departures and makes sure that the desk is manned at all times.
  • Conducts duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, by following hotel policies and procedures, ensuring that the highest level of service and communication is maintained.
  • Prepares daily internal hotel communications
  • Assist in projects and other duties as directed by the Front Office Manager and Assistant Director of Operations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that will likely include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong organizational, time management and planning skills.
  • Ability to handle cash and credit procedures
  • Valid work authorization for Canada
Qualifications:
  • Minimum three years of experience as Front Office Supervisor at a hotel or similar operation.
  • Previous PMS experience is required, OPERA experience would be preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications \xe2\x80\x93 Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • First Aid Certificate is an asset
  • Diploma or Certificate in Hotel/Restaurant Management or the equivalent an asset
