Emergency Department Customer Service Representative
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a key role in delivering an exceptional client experience while providing vital administrative support across the hospital.
Responsibilities:
Client Communication:
Serve as the first point of contact for clients, answering phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and courteously.
Emergency Walk in Scheduling:
Manage emergency walk ins, creating a profile for the client and patient and assigning the patient to the correct doctor.
Client Education:
Provide accurate information regarding services, procedures, and pricing, fostering trust and confidence in the hospital's expertise.
Emergency Response:
Coordinate emergency cases by gathering necessary information, triaging cases based on urgency, and facilitating immediate care for critical patients.
Administrative Support:
Maintain client records, update patient files, and assist with billing inquiries and insurance claims, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies.
Conflict Resolution:
Address client concerns or complaints with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues to the appropriate channels when necessary to ensure swift resolution.
Collaboration:
Work closely with veterinary staff, technicians, and other departments to coordinate patient care, relay important information, and maintain seamless communication across the hospital.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and hospital protocols through ongoing training and professional development initiatives.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in customer service or client-facing roles, preferably in a healthcare or veterinary environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and empathetic demeanor.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Proficiency in computer systems and software, including scheduling and electronic medical records platforms.
Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is desirable but not required (training will be provided).
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in accordance with the hospital's 24/7 operation.
