Job Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Overnight Direct Support Professional to provide high-quality care to individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, and residents in assisted living or long-term care settings. This role involves supporting residents through overnight shifts, ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort. The ideal candidate will have experience in home and community care, dementia or Alzheimer's care, medication administration, and working with individuals requiring assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives while working in a supportive and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities



Provide overnight supervision and support to residents, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the shift Assist residents with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Monitor vital signs and observe for any health changes or emergencies Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's care, utilizing appropriate memory care techniques Operate EMR systems to document care activities and resident progress Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed Utilize Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices for resident transfers to ensure safety and comfort Manage behavioral challenges through compassionate behavior management strategies Maintain cleanliness of resident areas and adhere to infection control protocols Document incidents or concerns thoroughly and report to supervisory staff promptly Drive residents when necessary for appointments or community outings (if applicable)

Qualifications



Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's, dementia, and memory care practices Certification in first aid and CPR required or willingness to obtain upon hire Experience with medication administration and vital signs monitoring preferred Familiarity with EMR systems is advantageous Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with compassion and professionalism Strong communication skills and ability to work independently during overnight hours Valid driver's license preferred for transportation duties Experience working with people with disabilities or behavioral challenges is a plus Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.34-$21.94 per hour
