Overnight Concierge at Peninsula and Norgarden Retirement Communities

Join our dedicated team at Peninsula and Norgarden, two exceptional retirement communities nestled in the
charming seaside town of Sidney, BC. We are passionate about providing
outstanding care and consider it a privilege to serve our residents.

Position: Overnight

Concierge, Casual and On Call

Schedule

: 8pm to 8am, or 11pm to 7am, weekdays, Weekends and Holidays (Christmas etc.)

Note

: This is not a security guard position or night auditor role and is not suitable for those with full-time commitments elsewhere.

We seek a mature, compassionate individual with:

Strong common sense and experience working with seniors.

The ability to stay calm and composed in emergencies.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently without direct supervision.

Physical capability to perform light janitorial tasks (e.g., vacuuming, cleaning touch points, moping floors, emptying garbage).

Key Responsibilities

Respond promptly to emergencies, including building issues (e.g., power outages) or resident medical situations.

Perform light janitorial duties to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.

Ensure the security and safety of our buildings.

Requirements

Availability for additional shifts (8:00 PM - 8:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM,

including weekends and holidays).

Valid First Aid certificate

(required before starting)

Clear criminal record check (cost covered by us).

Physical ability to bend, lift, reach, take stairs, and perform light janitorial tasks.

Valid work permit (applications without one will not be reviewed).
