Job Summary

As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in your care. Your compassionate nature and dedication will shine as you assist clients with daily living activities, provide emotional support, and ensure their safety and well-being. You'll work closely with individuals of all ages, including seniors and those with developmental disabilities, to create a nurturing environment that fosters independence and dignity.

What you'll do

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs to ensure health stability. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning tailored to individual dietary needs. Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation, especially for those with Alzheimer's or dementia care needs. Support clients in mobility tasks, including the use of equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Observe and document changes in client behavior or health status to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals. Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while providing direct support.

Basic qualifications

Experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health or senior care is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques to ensure immediate response in emergencies. Familiarity with care plans tailored for individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions.

Preferred qualifications

Previous experience working in group homes or nursing homes is a plus. Background in social work or nursing can enhance your ability to provide comprehensive care. Understanding of patient observation techniques to monitor changes effectively.
