Duties

Prepare doughs, batters, and fillings for baked goods. Operate bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, proofers, and decorating tools safely and efficiently Decorate cakes and pastries using various techniques like icing, and piping to meet quality standards Package baked items carefully to maintain freshness and presentation for retail display or catering orders Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas in compliance with food safety regulations Monitor baking times and oven temperatures to ensure consistent product quality Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supplies needed

Skills

Cake decorating experience Strong food handling knowledge adhering to food safety standards Experience in food production, preparation, and baking within a commercial kitchen or bakery environment Proficiency in culinary techniques including pastry work, cooking methods, and knife skills Ability to operate bakery machinery such as mixers, ovens, and proofers confidently Excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members or during product presentation Knowledge of packaging processes to ensure products are well-presented and preserved during storage or delivery Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant setting preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is valued

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
