Northern Doors is a well-established, family-oriented company proudly serving Grande Prairie and surrounding areas. We specialize in servicing, maintaining, and installing a wide range of products, including commercial overhead doors, residential garage doors, hollow metal doors, and more. We are currently seeking a motivated

Service Technician Assistant

to join our growing team.

What You'll Do

Primary Responsibility is to assist lead technicians with installations, repairs, and service of: Overhead doors & garage doors, Electric operators, Gate operators, and , Hollow Metal Man Door, and all related equipment, etc*
Support lead hands with completing paperwork, such as work orders and safety forms. Work closely with the shop foreman on loading/unloading materials, inventory control, and general shop housekeeping. Drive company vehicles as required to and from job sites. Perform all other tasks as directed by supervisors or management

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in the door industry or general construction knowledge is an asset--but not required. Reliable, positive attitude, and strong work ethic. Mechanically inclined. Ability to work safely and confidently at various heights. Physically fit and able to lift 75 lbs comfortably, independently, and repetitively throughout the day. Must be able to walk, stand, and/or kneel for long periods of time, while performing required tasks. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong English communication skills (read, write, & speak fluently). Valid

Class 5 driver's license

with a clean driver's abstract. Reliable transportation to and from work. Safety training and tickets are an asset (e.g., Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, H2S, First Aid, Forklift). Must have safety-rated steel-toed boots and a hard hat.

What We Offer

Full-time, permanent position (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM). Overtime and weekend work as required, including occasional out-of-town jobs. Training will be provided for the right candidate. Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
