We are seeking a dynamic and experienced
Outside Technical Sales Representative
to join our team.
As a Outside Technical Sales Representative at Tapflo Canada, you'll be part of a dynamic and supportive environment where innovation, integrity, and personal growth are at the core of everything we do. You'll represent a high-quality product portfolio designed and manufactured in Europe, known for robust performance and tailored solutions. Our products are backed by exceptional engineering support and a strong reputation in the market.
The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of pumps and fluid handling equipment, excellent sales skills, can select a pump and make capable of making technical decision and a drive to exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Southern Ontario region, focusing on industrial pump solutions.
Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients, understanding their specific requirements.
Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals in response to customer needs.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers to drive sales growth.
Collaborate with the internal team to ensure timely delivery of products and solutions.
Provide technical support and advice to clients both before and after the sale.
Attend site visits to support customers with onsite needs.
Prepare and submit regular sales and activity reports, forecasts, and market analysis.
Requirements:
Minimum 1-year proven experience in sales and technical support of pumps and fluid handling equipment.
Excellent knowledge of different types of pumps (e.g., centrifugal, positive displacement, air-operated diaphragm, etc.) and their applications.
Strong technical and commercial acumen with a customer-focused mindset.
Self-motivated and results-oriented, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Must reside in GTA + Hamilton area.
Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the region.
Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Work environment:
Energetic and fast-moving setting within a highly competitive industry.
Regular interaction with customers and internal teams through phone calls, emails, faxes, and virtual meetings.
Frequent exposure to tight deadlines, shifting priorities, multitasking, and occasional interruptions.
Local travel to customer locations required 60-70% of the time.
Occasional overnight and long-distance travel to customer sites (approximately 10%).
Must occasionally be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
