Job Description


Our Client is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to play a vital role in driving sales and profit growth for our company. You\'ll be responsible for providing exceptional B2B sales consultation, account management, and customer service to ensure the success of our valued customers. With a focus on innovation, you\'ll differentiate the client in the marketplace and contribute to the management and growth of independent sales within your assigned territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage and onboard new customers by effectively demonstrating the value of the clients products, services, and promotions using consultative selling methods.
  • Develop strategic account plans, generate new business, expand the account portfolio, and retain customers to achieve profitable sales growth.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to deliver customized product and service solutions.
  • Stay up to date with market conditions, product innovations, and competitors\' offerings, and share relevant information with customers.
  • Utilize Sales technology and resources to provide end-to-end sales consultative services.
  • Manage credit and accounts receivables.
  • Support territory and market share growth through the use of PMT & Deal Manager.
  • Oversee pricing management and strategy within the territory.
  • Track activities, collaborate on opportunities, and champion the team selling process using Salesforce.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours to meet customer needs.
  • Comply with Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure adherence to quality and legality requirements.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, promptly reporting any hazards, incidents, or spills.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years\' sales experience.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience; CPSA designation preferred.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a proven ability to drive sales growth.
  • Excellent financial and business acumen, with the ability to develop and execute business plans.
  • Proficient in consultative selling, networking, and negotiations.
  • Familiarity with business and restaurant operations to effectively manage diverse customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze profit and loss, food cost, and expense ratio.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal and external teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Quick learner of proprietary CRM tools for sales planning and forecasting.
  • Understanding of contract compliance management.
  • Solid analytical problem-solving skills, including the ability to derive insights from data analysis.
  • Proactive, self-directed, and skilled at structuring a successful weekly schedule.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver\'s license and access to a vehicle.
