Klingspor is one of the worldwide leading manufacturers of high-quality coated abrasives, cut-off wheels grinding discs and diamond construction products. At our Canadian headquarters, located in Stoney Creek Ontario, we specialize in distributing all our quality controlled abrasive products to the Canadian market.

We are seeking a results-driven individual to join our team as a Territory Manager (outside sales). The candidate must have a "Hunter" attitude with exceptional organizational skills and must reside in the territory.

Reports to: Western Regional Sales Manager

Job Purpose



Territory manager plays a fundamental role in achieving our sales growth and objectives by working with channel partners, maintaining relationships with customers, generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales.

Duties and Responsibilities



Responsible territory: Saskatchewan & Manitoba Lead, formulate and execute business and marketing plans to effectively maintain and grow sales Sourcing new sales opportunities with distributors and end users within our market segments to increase market share Proactively follows up with generated leads within the territory Develop, analyze and manage customer sales budgets Provide technical and sales support to distributors and end users Build and maintain relationships with current distribution partners Document all customer interactions and activities in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software Consultative selling: Making recommendations that best suit our customer's needs and strong ability to close sales Overnight travel is expected

Qualifications and Skills



Previous industrial and/or outside abrasive sales experience within the industrial and/or construction industries (minimum 5 years) Knowledge of the territory and customers within it A mature individual with a strong work ethic who is fully committed to investing the time to achieve success Excellent verbal and written communication Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to thrive both independently and in a team driven environment Adaptability to changing business needs Self-motivated with a "Hunter" attitude for new sales and business and success Must be able to build prospects, have excellent time and territory management skills for follow up Strong organizational skills and able to multitask and prioritize Work independently from a home office with minimal supervision Demonstrated aptitude of cold-calling skills at distributor and end user level A confident and motivated self-starter able to "open doors" to acquire new business Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record Proficient computer skills including MS Office suite and smart phones High school diploma, post-secondary education is a definite asset
