We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, grow our sediment control, dewatering and bypass systems business. You'll develop new accounts, service existing customers, and position our products as the go-to solution for stormwater compliance and site protection.
Responsibilities
Prospect, qualify, and close new business with general contractors, sitework contractors, developers, and public agencies
Conduct on-site visits to assess needs and recommend sediment control, dewatering and bypass system solutions (treatment systems, pumps)
Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and product demonstrations
Manage and grow a territory sales pipeline from lead generation through closing
Maintain regular contact with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities
Collaborate with operations and project teams to ensure smooth delivery and installation
Stay current on local regulations, stormwater permits, and erosion/sediment control best practices
Qualifications
1. Experience & Track Record
1-5+ years of B2B or B2C field sales experience
Proven ability to hit or exceed quotas (show numbers: % to goal, revenue closed, rank on team)
Experience managing a territory and doing cold visits/door-to-door or cold calling
2. Sales Skills
Prospecting and lead generation (cold calling, networking, referrals, social selling)
Consultative/solution selling, needs analysis, and objection handling
Strong closing skills and ability to move deals through each pipeline stage
Pipeline/forecast management and basic sales math (margins, discounts, ROI)
3. Communication & People Skills
Clear, confident verbal communication and presentation skills
Active listening and strong questioning skills
Relationship building and account management
Negotiation and conflict resolution
4. Self-Management & Work Style
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, comfortable working with minimal supervision
