We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated sales professional. The selected candidate will work to ensure the best possible customer experience selling construction building supplies (i.e., lumber, drywall, insulation, roofing supplies, and other) to builders and contractors (long-term and new customers). The ideal candidate will be able to work with little to no supervision, thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong attention to detail, and the ability to think and adapt "on-the-go". This position offers excellent experience and the chance to grow personally and professionally.
Position Summary:
Manage existing accounts including price negotiation, sourcing product, and build relationships to gain new business. Pursue new customers and accounts to expand the Rona Doidge Building Centres Ltd. reach in the building material supply market.

Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to:
(Include but are not limited to the following)
Expand Doidge Building Centres Ltd business through new customer relationships and manage existing customer base
Promote, sell, and source full line of building material products to a range of clients including new and existing contractors, builders, general contractors, and developers.
Remain knowledgeable and current in the building and construction industry.
Prepare quantity estimates and sales quotes. Review material requirements including blueprint and material take-offs.
Develop and maintain sales for accounts in assigned sales territory. Establish schedule for maintaining contact with established accounts. Regularly report on progress to senior management.
Meets regularly with Sales Manager to review sales performance, determine growth and development opportunities.
Review accounts receivables and follow-up on overdue and delinquent accounts
Regularly visit job sites to establish relationships with customers, stay current with ongoing projects.
Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers
Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as a top priority
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

5-7 years of experience in the building and construction industry
Exemplary listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Effective time management and problem-solving skills

Detailed knowledge of pricing strategies and price book set up and maintenance
Detailed knowledge of reporting tools and intermediate level computer skills
