Our client, an established custom manufacturer of STEEL products sold into the residential, industrial, commercial, institutional and agricultural construction markets, seeks an eager and experienced OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE for Atlantic Canada.

This position is ideal for a SALES REP that has 5+ years B2B experience selling into these markets in Eastern Canada and resides in the area (New Brunswick or Nova Scotia). What our client can offer you:

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a high level of customer service through regular contact (face-to-face, phone, and/or email)
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing accounts and develop additional contacts within these accounts
  • Develop new sales (and new customers) through the promotion of company products and services
  • Assess customers\' needs and make suitable product recommendations
  • Prepare quotations based on order specifications
  • Regular liaison with internal departments (customer service, purchasing, shipping, accounting, etc.) to ensure customer orders are managed in a timely fashion and to address any customer or order issues as they arise
  • Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services, competitor activities, and other research
  • Maintain regular weekly communication with the Sales/Operations Manager
Job Requirements
  • 5+ years of territory sales experience, selling manufactured products into the residential, industrial, commercial, institutional and agricultural construction markets
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Customer-focused, attentive, with great follow-up skills
  • Computer proficiency (Word and Excel)
  • Initiative; self-directed, strong work ethic; a passion for sales and customer service
  • Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and clean driver abstract; able to travel regularly within the Eastern provinces which may include occasional overnight travel
