Outside Sales - Renewable Energy

Status: Regular, Full time

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia

We are looking for a hardworking, creative, curious and enthusiastic individual who enjoys problem-solving. The candidate must possess a strong interest and passion for renewable energy technologies and electric vehicles. Data-driven, self-motivated, and able to work independently or in a team setting, the ideal candidate has experience in business development or in the renewable energy field, as well as a strong desire to continuously innovate and improve.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Your sales focus will be on the Renewable Energy sector - Solar PV and EV charging.

  • Promoting and establishing Guillevin as a major distributor of Renewable Energy Products with all industry sectors.
  • Providing technical support and dual sales calls with our electrical sales team at various Guillevin Business Centres.
  • Assist in designing grid tied and off grid projects.
  • Proactively specify products as per stock availability.
  • Develop long term relationships with select key customers in our trading area.
  • Generate quotations and solicit existing customer base.
  • Provide sound project management and order service for booked projects.
  • Weekly sales call planning and objectives for the calls, with results emailed to the reporting manager weekly.
  • Provide feedback on procurement and product mapping based on evolving market.
  • Provide sales support to assigned customers and be highly pro-active in servicing them.
  • At all times act in an ethical & professional manner that reflects the values of Guillevin
  • Attend technical webinars from our manufacturers to keep your knowledge up to date.
  • Any other duties as required from time to time
Location: British Columbia, Canada

Qualifications:
  • Ability to build rapport with customers & provide high levels of customer service;
  • Competent in database management and online IT platforms;
  • Ability to work in a fast passed environment;
  • Good organization and communication skills;
  • Experience within the industry is a plus, however not essential.
  • Product and system training will be provided
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent work experience
  • Interest in renewable energy technology
Considered an Asset
  • Degree in engineering or technology-based field
  • Demonstrated experience or aptitude for sales in a technical capacity
  • Knowledge in renewable or electrical products
  • Experience in business development activities such as educational seminars, product training presentations, meetings with key project stakeholders

Expected travel: 50% of the time. This will evolve as per provincial health measures.
