Position Summary



The Outside Pump Sales Manager - Ontario is responsible for developing new accounts in several cities in Ontario and/or generating new business from existing accounts with members of Process and Steam Specialties (The PSS Group). All or some of the following cities will be part of the Outside Pump Sales Manager - Ontario's territory: Oakville, Port Hope, Niagara, Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, London, Sarnia, Leamington, Windsor, Chatham-Kent, Ottawa.

Reporting to the General Manager of Process and Steam Specialties (The PSS Group), the Outside Pump Sales Manager - Ontario is a team player, recognized as an experienced Sales Champion who has repetitively and successfully sold various products to customers. When dealing within our product market, the Outside Pump Sales Manager - Ontario is skilled in relationship building with customers, specification engineers, and other key actors, to optimize customer engagement, satisfaction, retention, and brand promotion. The ideal candidate is an effective leader who can obtain maximum sales revenues and attain corporate objectives through decisive action and effective management of a team of Sales Representatives.

Responsibilities



Sell Tech products and services and provide leadership to obtain maximum sales revenue within the assigned territory (Ontario) while meeting or exceeding business objectives. In collaboration with leadership, create and execute sales strategies for the territory, including prospecting, qualifying, and cultivating new sales leads and enhancing existing account sales. As required, effectively partner with Specification engineers or other key peers in the organization to assist in closing complex and/or technical sales that require additional expertise. Assist in the hiring process of new Sales Representatives. Build, manage, mentor, and grow Sales Representatives within the assigned territory. Responsible for conducting performance appraisals, salary reviews, and terminations for direct reports, as needed. Train staff, set quotas, and allocate resources to ensure revenue targets are met. Connect, build trust, and establish meaningful relationships with current and potential customers through various effective customer-centric approaches such as face-to-face meetings, phone and internet interactions, and conferencing. Convert qualified leads into clients by effectively engaging them through the Marketing and Sales Funnel via tailored discovery discussions, requirements gathering, and meaningful solutions introduction. Optimize customer satisfaction and retention by supporting customers through each stage as part of the Company Customer Experience Program and create sales reports. Collaborate internally with peers and internal teams on quality and/or engineering specifications related to customer inquiries to ensure alignment with customer requirements. Identify opportunities to cross-sell, upsell, and renew contracts with customers. Review client inquiries and documentations to determine appropriate product and/or service selection, including the creation of order notes related to exceptions, deviations, and rebates. Respond to customer requests, such as clarifying quotes and addressing purchase order requirements. Assist as needed with technical advice for products and services, day-to-day operations, sales initiatives, presentations, Trade Show participation, product training, client visits, and more. Maintain timely and accurate records using the Company CRM system, detailing all relevant customer correspondence, quotes, commitments, contracts, etc.

Required Experience



Minimum 10 years of successful experience selling pump products as a Sales Manager or Sales Field Specialist, or in an equivalent client-facing role. Demonstrated success in presenting and selling mechanical solutions to executives, management, and engineering personnel from organizations in the industrial field. Minimum 6 years spent building a sustainable and impactful Sales Pipeline through developing relationships with major Canadian-based Distributors, identifying opportunities for service improvement, and selling/upselling. Consistent successful experience in achieving sales targets, client loyalty, and retention. Possess a good technical level of understanding of a few relevant products from at least three of the following brands, or competitive brands: ARO, PACO, GRUNDFOS, PEERLESS, SACEMI, JOHN CRANES, G&L GOULDS, BARNES. Successful experience in the ongoing maintenance and service of customer accounts is considered an asset.

Education



Bachelor's Degree in at least one of the following fields:

Sales Business Development Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Fire Protection and Safety Manufacturing Other equivalent education, training, or experience.

Skills/Competencies



Broad knowledge of the Mechanical Industrial Process Steam System, Instrumentation, Systems Controls, and/or Metering fields. Proven mastery of Sales techniques to naturally identify improvement opportunities for the team, train/coach peers when required, and know when it is time to close a deal. A self-motivated, team player, capable of high performance without supervision. Able to maintain a large, influential network of contacts with highly visible industry presence. Strong technical expertise, and the proven ability to remain current concerning industry trends, Provincial and Federal legislative policies and changes. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close complex deals. Demonstrated ability to communicate and present effectively with others. Proven organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage a budget. Strong commitment to be at service and bring value to others. Ability and willingness to learn new platforms, applications, and solutions. Excellent interpersonal relationships and demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams. Ability to demonstrate confidence and establish trust with our customers. Ability to transfer knowledge and mentor/educate others. Detail and results-oriented Able to balance multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines. Positive attitude combined with the desire to contribute to the overall success of the Company. Skilled use of Microsoft programs. Bilingual English/French would be considered an asset.

Compensation



Please note that the compensation range listed above includes base salary, as well as potential earnings in the form of annual bonus and monthly commission.

Pay: $80,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
