This individual will have extensive experience in both agriculture irrigation design and technical sales. Location: 1149 Commerce Way, Woodstock, ON Job purpose: The purpose of this job is to increase sales and profitability by selling products and building/maintaining customer relationships as well as assisting in designing irrigation systems. Key Performance Indicators
Sales: Total sales and margin goals are set and met

Designs are completed with a high degree of accuracy and relevancy
Technical knowledge: Having considerable experience already, continuing to grow your knowledge and share that knowledge of agriculture irrigation systems within Southern Irrigation

Job Duties and Responsibilities
The ability to drive and travel, and to visit clients in a large geographical area
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and deliver personalized attention to each, providing the best in quality service and value
Work effectively within customer relationship management (CRM) software (creating leads and building a sales funnel, following up on leads, closing deals, following up on purchases)
Sell Southern Irrigations value in our product lines and project expertise
Works with inside sales and outside sales to design residential, nursery, greenhouse, and field irrigation systems
Give advice and pass on knowledge of irrigation systems and products to the sales team
Attending strategic networking events to share the Southern brand and look for new leads/customers
Attend year-round training sessions and product knowledge seminars
Competencies
Technical selling experience (5 years minimum experience)
Technical irrigation experience and associated infrastructure (examples: pumps, water pipe, filter systems, drip, sprinklers, etc.) (5 years minimum experience)
Reliable and determined; well-presented and businesslike
Aptitude for using computer software
Preferred experience using AutoCAD and/or IrriCAD
