Summary
The Outfitter will be required to perform tasks involving physical labor at Meridian Manufacturing Inc., finishing department, and will be required to operate a variety of hand and power tools. Responsibilities will include the assembly of products using bolts, screws, clips, soldering tools, and assorted fasteners. The Outfitter will be responsible for the efficient completion of products according to established procedures, following all safety protocols and workplace policies.

Job Duties
Read blueprints and other technical diagrams.
Bolt, screw, clip, weld, solder or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment.
Position and install parts, sub-assemblies and accessories using hand and power tools and other aids like overhead hoists.
Apply decals to product.
Mark, record and report defects.
Clean and perform preparation of work-site.
Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, and movement and of machinery, equipment, and materials.
Lubricate, clean, maintain and repair equipment, and tools.
Operate, read, and maintain air monitoring and other sampling devices when working in confined spaces and/or hazardous environments.
Grind, scrape, sand, or polish surfaces using abrasive tools or machines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, preferred
Time management skills.
Ability to read blueprints and other technical diagrams.
Critical eye for identifying defects.
Commitment to quality and safety.
Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and the tools required in various assembly processes.
Strong working mechanical knowledge of machines and tools
Ability to readily determine the correct tools and equipment needed to do a job.
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor.
Work Conditions
Working indoors and outdoors in all seasons
Working with a variety of hand and power tools
Lifting and manipulating objects of up to 50 lbs for 50 feet
Use of Personal Protection Equipment (e.g. hard-hat, safety boots, etc.)
Working near moving mechanical parts and in conditions that include heat and humidity, and exposure to dust
Lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying objects using abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
Generally high noise level
Working with excellent stamina
