Oaklands OSC provides quality Before and After School Care at 4 locations servicing Oaklands Elementary, Willows, and Sundance Elementary Schools. This position is ideal for university and other post-secondary school students, or those who are enthusiastic about working with, or are looking to gain more experience working with children.
Hours of Work
: These are contracted part-time positions: 10-month (September - June) with possible extension into summer camps (July/August). Hours worked can be up to a maximum of 27.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, and longer shifts for Pro D Days, Winter and Spring Break camps.
Shifts Available: AM or PM Only or Both AM + PM
Flexible shifts with a maximum of 27.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Longer shifts are available for Pro D Days, Winter and Spring Break camps.

Oaklands School Care Sites:
1-2827 Belmont Ave
AM Care
7:00am - 9:00am
PM Care:
2:00pm- 5:45pm (Chapel Site) and 2:15pm- 5:45pm (Oaklands Centre and Gym)
Sundance OSC Site:
1623 Bank Street
AM Care:
7:00am - 9:00am
PM Care:
2:00pm- 5:45pm
All applicants must be:
19 years of age
Experience working with children in a childcare/recreational setting preferred
Must meet BC Child Care licensing requirements:
Current first aid certification; A minimum of twenty hours child-related coursework; Clean criminal record check; Updated Immunizations
Strong leadership skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Rate of Pay
: Rate of Pay: $20.00/hour - $22.00/hour + 4% in lieu of Holiday Pay
