Job Title: Outbound Coordinator (Logistics Shipping Coordinator)

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

As an Outbound Coordinator (Logistics Shipping Coordinator), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of our products, from packaging components to promotional materials using SAP, RF devices, and designated Transportation Management System (TMS), in adherence with Alcon SOPs. In this role, a typical day will include:

Pick/pack/ship customer orders using SAP, RF devices, and designated TMS, as per Alcon SOPs, including requirements for cold chain. Appropriate steps to be followed to ensure proper packaging, transport, and tracking.

Loading and offloading of trucks and inspection of said trucks as per Local SOPs.

Execute all warehouse tasks as per local SOPs and Health Canada Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standards.

Loading and offloading of trucks using the 5 different Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) on which the operative is trained as required.

Assist with the receipt and put away of all Alcon products into appropriate storage locations. Conduct receiving activities such as product transfer and storage as per local procedures.

Work in accordance with OSHA standards, and Alcons health and safety requirements.

Follow procedures related to the handling of product/materials as per Local SOPs and Safety Data Sheets as applicable.

Complete all training requirements and SOP reviews by specified due dates within the current Learning Management System.

Comply with the distribution performance KPIs - accuracy targets and lines picked/put-away per hour, as set by line manager.

WHAT YOULL BRING TO ALCON:

Education Minimum: OSSD or equivalent

Experience Minimum: 3-5 years previous experience in a warehouse / distribution environment

Physical Requirements: Medium Work - exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally or 50 lbs. frequently, or up to 10 lbs. constantly to move object.

PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks) experience required.

Computer literate (basic navigation and use of systems)

The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.

Ensures local procedures are followed and communicating issues, process/outcomes.

Experience in HSE and GXP related activities and documentation

Work hours: 12:00 NN to 8:00 PM (Mondays to Fridays)

Travel Requirements: No travel required.
