Job description

We are seeking qualified educators to work in our Out of School Care Program. Educators will be expected to supervise and program plan for children ages 6-12.

Schedule

Monday to Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm before and after school at the Out of School Program full hours at the out of school program during PD days and spring/summer/winter breaks while children are attending school, hours will be worked at the daycare

Education/Qualifications

Child Development Worker (ECE Level 1 ) OR Early Learning and Child Care Certificate (Equivalent to ECE Level 2)

Salary

$16.00 to $18.00 (varies based on experience) Staff qualify for the Alberta Government Wage Enhancement of $2.64 - $8.62 per hour

Responsibilities

Support the important child-rearing role of families in the children's lives Ensure children are always under direct supervision in accordance with Licensing Responsible for completing programming and ensuring it is developmentally appropriate for the children in care, including indoor and outdoor play Ensure all opening and closing procedures and checklists are completed, including keeping up to date with cleaning and sanitation protocols Prepare and serve snacks Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children Educators exchange child related information with parents on a regular basis and keep families informed of any positive or negative developments in their child Monitor accuracy of children's attendance records and maintain confidentiality of all records collected

Safety & Security

Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (must have been obtained within the last 3 months) Valid Standard Child Care First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willing to complete)

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
