Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled OTR (Over-the-Road) Team Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of freight transportation and be capable of operating heavy equipment. This position requires a commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods across long distances. The OTR driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of freight.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure the vehicle remains in optimal condition during trips.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment is preferred. Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols. Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or maintenance on vehicles. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently on long-haul trips. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
