We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including but not limited to tractor-trailer, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. The Truck Driver will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the freight throughout the transportation process.
Responsibilities
Operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers.
Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Follow designated routes for delivery while adhering to traffic regulations.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status.
Manage paperwork related to deliveries, including bills of lading and freight receipts.
Utilize forklifts, pallet jacks or other equipment as needed for loading/unloading tasks.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Experience with manual transmission vehicles only.
Familiarity with various truck types such as dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and refrigerated trailers is a plus.
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles is essential.
Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and safety regulations within the trucking industry.
Experience with lease roads necessary
Excellent time management skills with a commitment to punctuality in deliveries.
