Temporary (Approx 7 mos)

The SCADA OT Cybersecurity Student position maximizes the utilities computer system capabilities by supporting the governance, documentation, and maintenance activities of the SCADA Network. They will assist with problem solving, presenting technical information, process improvement, hardware maintenance, and testing.

Our ideal candidate

• Troubleshoots and responds to requests related to software and hardware issues, including remote support of PC\'s and peripherals in a networked environment.
• Installs a wide variety of computer hardware equipment.
• Troubleshoots and repair software issues of moderate complexity; may involve removal/reinstall of applications or system registry/file changes, using diagnostic tools.
• Assists with technology needs analysis and technology planning.
• Support the development and updating of cybersecurity procedures.
• Support the development of as built drawings and proposed new designs of network infrastructure.
• Plans, implements, documents, troubleshoots, and repairs the network and computing infrastructure.
• Have strong proficiency and interest in PC configuration and end user support.
• Strong knowledge of network and telecommunications concepts (topologies, TCP/IP, VLANs, IP Subnets, DHCP, and DNS).

Qualifications

• Successful completions of a degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized post-secondary institution.
• Previous experience working in industrial environments is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of management approved education and experience may be considered.
